Medical Service and Insurance
Insurance
All international students are required to purchase insurance for their stay in China on the registration day at the ISO, and pay the insurance premium in cash (CNY 600/800 a year or CNY 300/400 for one semester). The insurance covers death insurance, accidental disability insurance, medical insurance for accidental injury, outpatient and emergency medical insurance, and hospitalization medical insurance. You may refer to the attached document for more details on the insurance.
Medical Service
You may choose to go to the following hospitals for medical services. Normally you do not have to make an appointment with a doctor in advance.
Renmin University Hospital
Comment: on campus and can meet almost all basic health requirements, but not comprehensive.

Haidian Hospital
Comment: Very close to campus, around 15-minute walk from the university’s east gate, more comprehensive than the hospital on campus.

No.3 Hospital Affiliated with Peking University (Peking University Third Hospital)
Comment: Very comprehensive and very well-known, but not close to the campus.

Notes:
Please remember to take your passport with you when going to a hospital.
Most doctors do not speak English. Please ask your Chinese buddy or a Chinese friend to accompany you when going to a hospital.
