Due to rising demand and limited resources, room allocation is based on a “first come, first served” principle.

You need to log in to the online booking system (online booking system) and click to book a room. The account name is your student ID at RUC, and the password is your submitted passport number. The system becomes accessible at 9:00 a.m. (Beijing time) on the given date as stated on the Room Reservation Information Sheet, which is enclosed in your admission package.

If all the rooms are booked out, you will have to look for off-campus housing on your own.

You will be asked to pay a deposit of CNY 600 online. A small fee will be charged if you cancel your reservation.

You should pay the rent within 3 to 5 days after your arrival.

Year-based students can pay the rent either with cash or by a Chinese debit card in the first semester (only with cash in the second semester). Semester-based students can only pay the rent with cash.

If you book a single room, you have to pay the rent as a lump sum. You will get refund for early check-out. For double rooms, you can choose to make monthly or one-time payment.

You may check in up to 3 days prior to the registration day. For instance, the spring semester in 2019 begins on February 18, 2019. Students are allowed to check in from 6:00 a.m. (Beijing Time) on February 15, 2019. You will be informed of the exact check-in date on the website when you book a room.

For early check-in (before 6:00 a.m.) or late check-out (after 12:00 a.m.), you will be charged an extra day’s rent. Deposit will be refunded when you check out.

The reception desk is located on the first floor of G-building (International Cultural Exchange Center).
